In the Iodine Test of Plants, if we cover some part of leave with black paper, the leave loses its starch.
But the other parts of leaves produce the food so shouldn't it share it or translocate to different parts of the plant including the leaves which have a deficiency of starch???
If the plants transport food to destarched parts then the iodine test should prove true for the entire leaf.
