Molecules in a liquid
Molecules in a liquid
The force of attraction between molecules of a liquid is weak, but it is sufficient not to allow the molecules to move far apart from each other. The molecules in a liquid are therefore arranged slightly away from each other. This allows some movement between the molecules. That is why a liquid flows and does not have any definite shape. It takes the shape of the container it is filled in. This is why a liquid has a definite volume.
