1. ​The clayey soil is made up of small or finer particles which have large surface area. Also, there are small pores between these particles which hold water tightly and prevents its movenmt down the ground. This large surface area and small pores thus, allow the soil to hold large quantities of water.  

2. The loamy soil is best suitable for growing crops because it is a mixture of sand, silt, clay and humus. It has the right amount of nutrients and water for plant growth.
