1.)Explain unit ppm with example?
2.) Write the factors affecting the solubility of solute in aqueous H2S solution?
3.)What are collagative properties of solution?
4.) Why van't hoff factor (i) was introduced?

Dear Student,

(1)For a very diluted solution, i.e. when a very small amount of solute is present in the solution, then the concentration of the of the solute is expressed in terms of ppm.(parts per million)it is defined as the mass of the solute present in one million parts (106) by mass of the solution.
You can understand this in the way that if the mass of the solution is divided into one million part, then the amount of the solute is calculated that is present in that small division of solution.
For e.g. 15 ppm means that 15g of the solute is present in 106 g of solution, you can approximately take the mass of the solvent as 106 g as the amount of the solute is very small as compared to the mass of the solvent and solution.

(2)The factors affecting the solubility of solute in aqueous H2S solution

->The presence of a common ion,
-> The pH of the solution, and
->The presence of complexing agents.
 (3)Colligetive properties of solutions depend upon

->Relative lowering of vapour pressure.
->Elevation of boiling point.
->Depression of freezing point.
->Osmotic pressure.
