Dear student,

1. The victorious are usually welcomed with great applause, beating of drums, waving of flags.
2. The poet warns the people who glorify the oppressor by reminding them that no score is settled till that which is true and right prevails. The oppressors may think they have won, but an unjust cause is always overturned as a hopeful morning rises after a dark night fro the oppressed.
3. The key word in the closing line of each stanza is 'right': it stands for all that is true and just. the poet gives the message that eventually that which is 'right' will prevail.
