a side of a square shaped tile is 12cm, how many such tiles required for 8m long and 4.5m high wall

6).

Given, side of a square shaped tile = 12 cm

Therefore, area of 1 tile = 12 cm × 12 cm = 144 cm2

Now, dimensions of wall are 8 m long and 4.5 m high.

Therefore, area of wall = 8 m × 4.5 m = 800 cm × 450 cm  [As 1 m = 100 cm]

 = 360000 cm2

So, number of tiles required

8).

Let the elder brother gets Rs x.

Therefore, share of youngest brother = share of elder brother/2 = Rs x/2

Similarly, share of middle brother

According to the given condition,

Hence, the share of elder brother is Rs 42.

Hi,

Solution 1:

No of cubes that can be made = Volume of the cube with side 5 cm / volume of cube with side 2.5 cm

(Bcoz you have to devide the bigger cube in smaller ones)

so the answer is,

No of cubes that can be made = 5*5*5 / 2.5*2.5*2.5

  = 125 / 15.625 = 8

Cheers :)

Solution: 2

Aman, i think the question is: Find the volume of 9 cuboid whose dimensions are 8cm, 5cm and 4cm?

So, the answer is...

Formula: Volume of cuboid = Lenght * Breadth * Height (All should be in the same unit, e.g., cm or m etc.)

  = 8 * 5 * 4 cubic cm

  = 160 cubic cm

Cheers :)
