Solving equality (1) and (2)

$\frac{1}{2} = \frac{x}{4} \Rightarrow x = \frac{4}{2} = 2$

Slving equality (2) and (3)

$\frac{2}{4} = \frac{5}{x} \Rightarrow x = \frac{5 \times 4}{2} = 10$

Solving equality (3) and (4)

$\frac{5}{10} = \frac{x}{14} \Rightarrow x = \frac{5 \times 14}{10} = 7$

Therefore

$\frac{1}{2} = \frac{2}{4} = \frac{5}{10} = \frac{7}{14}$
