In the medieval period ,there were many important religious developements in india.

There were worship of new gods,construction of new and large temples by different kings.Brahmins got importance in the society.Priests were also respected more in the society.

There wasgrowthof the idea of 'Bhakti'.In the bakti movement ,people started showing devotional love towards a personal diety or god.They believed that through this bhakti ,they can reach god without the help of rituals or priests.

Many new religions like Islam and Zaroatrianism came to india either by traders or by invaders.they brought the teachings of Islam in the 7th century ,and through the invaders they accepted the sovereignity of one gos Allah.
