Dear Student, (a) This process involved in gas exchange is called Respiration. In this, process, O2 and CO2 gases are mainly exchanged. (b) Oxygen is first transported to blood stream via the process of simple diffusion through the thin membrane shown in figure. Then it binds to haemoglobin in blood and then blood carries it to different tissues and at the level of tissues, it dissociates from haemoglobin and transported to cells. Regards
