the figure obtained by joining the midpoints of the adjacent sides
of the quadrilateral can not be a triangle, since there are 4
sides, hence 4 midpoints
The correct question is:
The diagonals of a quadrilateral intersect at right
angles Prove that the figure obtained by joining the mid-points of
the adjacent sides of the quadrilateral is a rectangle
