1) we know that the mass of X H2O is 3.6 gram . Then why are we not finding X directly from here?

Dear Student,

We cannot find directly the value of X because X is the number of molecules of water which are attached with 1 molecule of hydrated copper sulphate. But we have to find the number for 10 g of hydrated copper sulphate so how can we find out directly.
