Sacred grove: Sacred groves are the forest fragments of different sizes that are protected due to some religious connections. Hunting and shedding of trees are prohibited in these areas. Mostly forest surrounding a temple, monasteries or burial ground are considered as sacred groves. For example, Devbhumi in Uttarakhand, Gumpa forest in Sikkim.
 
There are several hypotheses proposed by ecologists and evolutionary biologists. one of them is Red Queen Hypotheses. It is an evolutionary hypothesis which states that organisms constantly adapt, evolve or grow not only to get reproductive advantages but also to survive in a specific environment.
