1 WHAT ARE THE REASON OF NON - UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION OF SPECIES?

The non uniform distribution of species is result of different living factors (biotic factors) and nonliving factors (abiotic factors).

The biotic factors include predation, pathogens, and competition with other animals for resources such as food, water, and mates and abiotic factors include sunlight, atmosphere, humidity, temperature, and salinity, availability of air, water, soil etc.

The organisms adapt themselves according to the environmental conditions and availability of the resources. Many of the organisms would not be able to survive in every area. So the areas where there are favourable environmental conditions and good availability of natural resources have more diversity of species than the areas with unfavourable condition and less resources.
