1. In orthotropous ovule, the body of the ovule is straight.It occurs upright over the funiculus.Hilum and chalaza occur nearby.Micropyle lies on the opposite side. But in anatropous ovule, the body of the ovule is completely bent over and fused with funiculus along its whole length.Hilum and micropyle  occur nearby. Chalaza lies on the opposite side.
