student,let  the number of farmers needed to harvest the crop in 15 hrs = x
It is given that 12 farmers are needed to harvest the field in 20
hrs Clearly number of farmers varies inversely with the time
taken
So, 15 × x = 20 × 12
⇒x = (20 × 12)/15 = 240/15 = 16
So, 16 farmers are needed to harvest the crop in 15 hrs
