13x+11y=70
11x+13y=74
Method of elimination by equating coefficient

Dear Student,
Let
13x+11y=70.......(1)
and
11x+13y=74.......(2)
Multiply (1) with 11 and (2) with 13.
We get:
143x+121y=770
143x+169y=962
Subtracting these equations, we get:
48y=192
or y=4
Putting this in equation (1), we get:
13x+44=70
13x=26
or x=2.
Hence, x=2 and y=4.

Hope this helps you!

We add both LHS and RHS
13x +11y+ 11x +13y =74+70
Just solve this and you will gather the result
