Area of the plot without the path = l x b
= 80 x 60
= 4800 m2

When path is added,
length of park = 80 + 1 5 + 1 5
= 80 + 3
= 83 m
breadth ​of park = 60 + 1 5 + 1 5
= 60 + 3
= 63 m

Area of park along with the path = l x b
= 83 x 63
= 5229 m2

Area of path = ​Area of park along with the path -
​​Area of park without the path
= 5229 - 4800
= 429 m2
