Dear Student,

Dear <<name>>,

Thank you for your previous letter. I loved it! Thanks especially for recommending the book “Flour Babies” by Anne Fine. I am trying to get a hold of the book so that I can read it as soon as possible. I recently read a poem "The Seven Ages" by William Shakespeare; a few lines in it struck me a lot. “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players...”

<< Second paragraph – you can write about your views on these lines: the truth behind them – no one has control over their lives beyond a point – all are here to fulfil roles that have already been decided for them – everybody is connected to one another and we all play a role in everybody else’s life – the playwright and the director decide what we do ultimately – we can change a few of our lines here and there, but not the plot of the play. You can talk about whether you agree or disagree to this point of view and explain your ideas to your friend>>

<<Third paragraph – you can end your letter by asking after the family of your friend, and expressing hope that you both will be able to meet up soon.>>

Your best friend,
