2 real life applications of cubes and cube roots

We can ​use cube and cube root in daily life  .
Example :
Cube roots are used in day to day mathematics like in powers and exponents or to find the side of a three dimensional cube when its volume is given .
As:
If we have a room shape of a cube and length of one side = 2 units then 
Area of that room  = 2³   = 8 cubic units
And 
If we know volume of any cube room and wants to find out the side length than , we use cube root As ;
Let Area = 27 
Then Side  = $\sqrt[3]{27}$   = 3 units
