A1. The heavens blaze forth Julius Caesar's death by the occurence of several supernatural events that are considered as bad omens. Calpurnia dreams that a lioness had whelped in the streets; the graves have opened and the dead have been exposed; horses were neighing and dead men were groaning; ghosts were shriek and squeal about the streets;  the clouds were clashing against each other as though they were being ridden by fierce soldiers; it was the soldiers ' blood which seemed to be falling in the form of drizzles;frightful sounds echoed in the air. Therefore, she forbids Caesar from leaving the house. The priest also warns him as they were unable to find the heart of the sacrificed animal which is another bad omen. But, Caesar does not pay heed to these warnings.

A2. Calpurnia tries to convince Caesar that she last night she had unpleasant dreams about Caesar's death. She considers her dream as a bad omen and therefore, forbids Caesar from leaving the house.
