ΔABC is an equilateral triangle. BD and CE are the medians of ΔABC.

ΔABC is an equilateral triangle.

∴ AB = AC        (Sides of an equilateral triangle are equal)

⇒ BE = CD         (BD and CD are medians of ΔABC)

In ΔBCE and ΔBCD,

BE = CD      (Proved)

∠EBC = ∠DCB = 60°

BC = BC     (Common)

∴ ΔBCE ΔBCD  (SAS congruence criterion)

CE = BD  (CPCT)
