3 horses Run around a circular path, 1760 metre in circumference, at the rate of 440 metre, 352 metre and 264 per minutes . when will they again be together at the starting point
Circumference of this path = 1760 m
Speed of first horse = 440m/min.
Speed of 2nd horse = 352 m/min.
Speed of 3rd horse = 264 m/min.
so,Time taken by 1st horse to complete the path = (length of path/ its speed) 1760/440 = 4 min.
similarly, Time taken by 2nd horse = 1760/352 = 5 min.
and, time taken by 3rd horse = 1760/264 = 20/3 min.
Now, time after which they will meet at starting point = LCM(4,5,20/3) = 20 min.
So, After 20 minutes they will meet at starting point.
