3. On one hand Anne Frank says that she is not all alone in the world. On the other hand she says that she seems to have everything except one true friend. Why?

Dear Student,

Anne had a great family and many good friends. Despite this, she never felt that she had anyone with whom she could share her feelings and thoughts. She never felt that she could grow closer to any of her friends. While she felt comfortable talking about mundane and ordinary things with them, she did not feel that she could share her secrets and feelings with them. Therefore, despite being surrounded by people, she considered herself to be without a true friend.

Regards,
