5 marks question help me with this. Chapter: why do we need a parliament

Solution -
67.Women representation has steadily increased in the Lok Sabha. In the first-ever election, only 5% of the House consisted of women. Now, that has increased to 14%. This is still a low number given that it is not near proportional representation.
Reasons of need of women representation in parliament -
1.Low women representation in parliament of India- The U.S. has 32% lawmakers, while neighbouring Bangladesh has 21% ,India being the largest democracy still very low representation of women candidates.
2. increasing the number of women legislators is a part of empowering women .
3.  Gender neutrality in India can be promoted only if more women can take their role as rule makers .
4. More women in parliament can help solve women and children issues as seen in some of countries like Newzealand and Denmark.
68. Reasons of presence of few seats for SC and ST communities in Parliament of India are as follows -
1.to make sure that there is enough representation for people who are part of a minority or are disadvantage due to social norms.
2.to address the historical marginalisation of these communities, and ensure they are adequately represented.
