9 (b) Explain the following rights of a consumer provided under The Consumer Protection Act, 2019:
(i)Right to Safety
(ii)Right to Seek Redressal

1. Right to safety - The consumer has a right to be safe from the goods and services that are hazardous for life and property. For example electrical appliances that are without ISI marks are not advisable to buy or to use. Consumer must be educated that a product with no ISI marks are not safe to use.
2. Right to seek redress - If consumers product or service that they purchase is not up to the mark than they should get the relief either in the form of refund or exchange of product, can get the compensation if suffer any loss. There are many reliefs available for the consumer.
