A beautiful speech in english on Independence Day for at least four minutes.
Dear Student,
Here is the answer:
Good Morning honourable Principal Sir/Ma'am,respected teachers and my dear friends.
Today,I,Tanvi Deore of class 7th, will be sharing my views on the topic -Independence Day.
Independence Day marks the freedom of India from the British Rule.It is our national festival, celebrated every year on 15th August. It is a very special day in the hearts of all the Indians and is celebrated with lots of enthusiasm, joy and happiness every year.
After getting Independence,Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru became our first Prime Minister and unfurled the national flag at the famous Red Fort in New Delhi. Since then, every year independence Day is celebrated at the Red Fort. We celebrate this day to honour our nation and all the freedom fighters who played a major role in making India free and independent. We forget all our differences and come together as citizens of our country, India. On this day, every government building is decorated with tricolour lights, thus depicting our national flag.
Functions are organised in every school and college all over, where students show their love and respect for the country through their performances.
One of the most important objectives to celebrate Independence Day is that the youth of the country continue to remember the sacrifices made by thousands of freedom fighters for their nation. It makes them aware of the history of the nation and also the developments taking place at the national level. Through Independence Day, we remember the long struggle of our freedom fighters and their massive contribution to the nation.
With this, I conclude my speech with few lines from this beautiful poem "The Gift of India" by Sarojini Naidu.
When the terror and tumult of hate shall cease
And life be refashioned on anvils of peace,
And your love shall offer memorial thanks
To the comrades who fought in your dauntless ranks,
And you honour the deeds of the deathless ones,
Remember the blood of my martyred sons!
Thank You
Regards
