A block of mass 1 kg slides down on an inclined plane of inclination 30 degrees.Calculate the work done by the bklocks weight as it slides through 50 cm.

Since the work done is Fx cos (Q)

now here the force is the block's weight = mg = 10 N

and the distance travelled  = 50 cm = 0.5 m

and the angle between the force and the diplacment is 60 deg , as the angle of inclination is 30 and in a right angled trianlge is 180 - 90 - 30 = 60 deg

Work done = 10 x 0.5  x cos 60deg = 2.5 Nm
