Distance,x=0 As it moves from origin And Distance,x'=8t-2t² We have to find the average speed when t=0 and t=1 sec Average speed=Change in distance/time taken =x'-x/t'-t =(8t-3t²)-0/1-0 =8t-3t² When t=0,average speed=8×0-3×0²=0 When t=1, average speed=8×1-3×1²=8-3=5m/s
