A body moving in a straight line at 72kmph undergoes an acceleration of 4m/s 2 . Find its speed after 2 seconds.

Answer to first question is as follow:-

Initial velocity, u = 72 kmph = 20 m/s

Acceleration, a = 4 m/s2

Time, t = 2 s

Final velocity, v = ?

We know,

v = u + at

= > v = 20 + 2 X 4

= > v = 28 m/s

Initial velocity of body(u)=72 kmph=20 m/s

final velocity(v)=x

acceleration(a)=4 m/s2

time(t)=2

Equation of motion-  v=u + at

=>x=20+(2 x 4)

=>x=28 m/s=final velocity
