a body of mass 1000 kg moving at a speed of 10 m/s reaches the speed of 50 m/s in 20s calculate the force required to do so.

Dear Student

v = u +at
a = v-u/t  50 -10/20 = 40/20 =2 m/s

So F = ma = 1000 x 2  = 2000 N

v=50m/s
t=20s
a=v/t
=50/20
=2.5m/s^2
F=ma
=(1000)(2.5)
=2500N
