A body of mass 2 kg is dropped from a height 100 m if the acceleration due to gravity is 10m/s sq.Calculate kinetic energy at the end of 5 seconds

you must know the velocity v to find the kinetic energy
initial velocity u=0
a=acceleration due to gravity
use v=u+at
v=0+10(5)=50m/s
k.e=mv2/2=2(50)2/2=2500kgm2/s2

Kinetic Energy=1/2 mv^2

v^2-u^2=2ah

u=0

v^2=2*10*100

v^2=2000m/s

Kinetic Energy=1/2 mv^2

1/2*2*2000

Kinetic Energy=2000J

I did it myself....better wait for an Expert's reply
