A car bulb connected to a 12 volt battery draws 2 A current when glowing. What is the resistance of the filament of the bulb? Will the resistance be more, same or less when the bulb is not glowing?

Dear Student,According to Ohm's law,V=IRV=12V givenI=2A givenso,R=VIR=122=6ohm Resistance of the filament of the bulb increases with increase in temperature. Hence when it glows its resistances is greater than when it is not glowing.Regards
