Hi Mishra, yes its velocity is changing as velocity has both magnitude and DIRECTION. Speed may be constant but velocity is changing in case of circular motion
As velocity changes then it must have been accelerated
That acceleration is always normal to the direction of velocity and so it has to be directed to the centre of curvature
Hence it is named as Centripetal Acceleration (centre seeking)
