A charge "q" is placed at the centre of the cube of side "l". What is the electric flux passing through each face of the cube?

According to Gauss's Law,

............................(1)

Cube has six equal faces, so electric flux pass through each would be equal.

If A = area of face

and E = field intensity.

Then total flux = 6(E*A) = q/ε0

So, net electric flux passing through each face of the cube is given by

  • 88

zero as the total flux linked with a closed surface is always zero only

  • -17

the total flux is zero for closed for magnetic field lines,the flux through each flux is q/(6E)

this has arrived because the flux through the whole flux is q/E(due gauss law).since cube has six faces therefore from each face divide the total flux by six.

by using gauss theorem

flux=q/E0

  • -13

 because the flux through the whole flux is q/E(due gauss law).since cube has six faces therefore from each face divide the total flux by six.
