A charged thermocol ball is suspended by means of a nylon thread. When a nuetral body is brought near to it, the thermocol ball is first attracted and then flies away from it. Explain by giving it a reason.

When a neutral body is brought in near a charged thermocoll ball then due to the phenomenon of induction they get attracted. But then, they touch and transfer of charge takes place such that both acquire same charge and hence they are flown away.
