a classroom is 10m long,6.4m wide and 5m high. if each student be given 1.6m2 of the floor area, how many students can be accommodated in the room? how many cubic metres of air would each student get?the answer is 40, 8m3. solve it.

Length of classroom l ) = 10 m

Width of class room ( b ) = 6.4 m

Height of classroom ( h ) = 5 m

Floor area given to each student = 1.6 m2

Let the total number of students be x.

Floor area of classroom = Total number of students X floor area occupied by each student

l × b = x × 1.6

10 × 6.4 = x × 1.6

Total number of students accommodated in the room is 40

Volume of air in the classroom = Volume of cuboidal shaped classroom = l × b × h

= 10 × 6.4 × 5 = 320 m3

Now, 40 students got 320 m3 of air

1 student would get air https://s3mn.mnimgs.com/img/shared/discuss_editlive/1915302/2012_01_04_12_19_16/mathmlequation7073206381852513385.png

Therefore, each student will get 8 m3 of air.

its easy

for first question we have length and width of the class room thus the area of the class room can be found out

that is = l*b

            =10m * 6.4m

            =64m

now area covered by each student = 64/1.6m   =  40students

now, second question

here we need to find volume of the rom first and then the volume covered by each student

volume = 10*6.4*5   = 320

now volume covered by each student = 320/40    =  8m^3

so we have our answers = 40 , 8
