A composite wire of steel and copper of diameters 1 cm and length 2.2. m and 2m respectivly .total extension of the wire when streched by a force is 1.2mm calculate the force given that youngs modulus for copper is 1.1x1011and steel 2x1011Pa.

Young’s modulus of copper (YC) = 1.1×1011Pa

Young’s modulus of steel (YS) =2×1011Pa

Diameter = 1cm

Area of cross section = πr2= π× 0.005=0.0157m2
