Ans: initial velocity = 0
Using 2nd equation of motion, we get
          78.4 = 0 + 1/2 * 9.8 * t2
==> t = root16 = 4
==> Difference = 4.23 - 4.00
                       = 0.23 sec
==> speed of sound = 78.4 / 0.23 = 340.86 m/s
