A cow is tied with a rope of length 7 cm at the corner of a triangular field with each side 15cm. If the length of the rope is increased by 4.5 m , find the area of the field in which the cow can graze.

the length of the side of triangular field is 15 cm.
since all the sides of triangular field are equal, therefore triangle is an equilateral triangle.
therefore internal angle is of 60 deg.

if the length of the rope is 7 cm.
the area of the field that cow can graze = π*72*60360=227*7*7*16=773 cm2
if the length of the rope is increased by 4.5 cm.
the increased length = 7+4.5 = 11.5 cm
therefore the area of the field that cow can graze
=π*(11.5)2*60360=227*11.5*11.5*16=69.2738 cm2

hope this helps you
