a cylindrical cake of maximum volume is to be cut out of a cube of side 4 cm. find the maximum value of the cake

as the diameter of the cylinder is the side of the cube,the radius of the cylindr will b 2 cm.
the height will b equal 2 the side of the cube, height is 4 cm.
r = 2 cm
h = 4 cm
v of cylinder = pi r^2 h
v = pi * 2*2*4
  = 22/7 *16
  = 50.285
  • 8
64cm^3
  • -4
SINCE THE SIDE OF CUBE = 4 CM
HEIGHT OF CYLINDER WILL BE = 4CM
DIAMETER OF CYL. = 4 CM
RADIUS = 2CM

VOLUME= 22/7 X 2 X 2 X 4 = 50.28 CM3

PLZ. THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!

  • 2
16π cm^2 Because I have not substitute the value of π
