a die was rolled 100 times and number of times 6 comes up was noted .If the experimental probability calculated from this information is 2/5 , then how many times 6 comes up . Justify your answer

Die is rolled 100 times

∴ total number of outcomes = 100

given that probability of 6 appears on the die is

P (6 appears on the die) =

⇒ number of times 6 appears =

⇒ number of times 6 appears = 40

  • 4

40 times

for 5 times it is 2

so for100 times it is

100*2 /5=200/5 =40

  • 0

p( of getting 6 ) = No. of possible otcome / total no. of outcomes

  2 / 5  =  No. of times 6 comes up / 100

 No. of times 6 comes up =  2 / 5  * 100

  40 times

  • 0

Here P(6)=    Favourable Outcomes

                     Total no of Outcomes

Let the total Favourable Outcomes = x

Then,P(6) =              x               =>            2/5= x/100  , So x= 2/5*100=40

                      Total no of Outcomes

Therefore ,total no of outcomes where 6 has come = 40
