''a diploid organism is heterozygous for four loci'' what does loci mean??
Dear student,
When a gene or more than one gene occupies a specific or fixed position on a chromosome. The heterozygous organisms have different alleles for an allelic pair. Thus, a diploid organism which is heterozygous for four loci will have four different types of contrasting characters at four different positions on the chromosome or loci.
