As, the Farmer will reduce or decrease the supply of potatoes so that the demand for potatoes will rise or increases for the potatoes and w.e.f the price of potatoes will rise or increase. Henceforth, he will gains profit. If the farmer has already produced potatoes and the stock is accumulated then he might stop farming of potatoes on temporary basis till the market demand increase.
