a)Identify the structures which are referred to as hereditary vehicles. Why are they called so?
b) Why is nucleus called as the brain of the cell?

Dear student
a) Chromosomes are called as the hereditary vehicles as they carry huge number of the genes which transfer hereditary characteristic of a parent to the respective offspring.
b)  Nucleus is known as brain of the cell because it controls the activities of the cell and is involved in hereditary functions.

a) Chromosomes are called the hereditary vehicles because they are transported from the parents to the offspring to carry genetic information. Chromosomes are thread-like structures found in the nucleus of plant and animal cells. They are composed of proteins and a single molecule of DNA .

b) The nucleus is called the "brain" of the cell because it holds the information needed to conduct most of the cell's functions.
