Chapter: The journey to the end of the Earth

Dear Student, 

In the chapter, Tishani Doshi, points out the importance of Antarctica in maintaining the ecological balance of Earth. She said,  'A lot can happen in a million years' because she was wondering what could happen to Antarctica in the future. She was wondering if millions of years into the future, Antarctica would again shift its position to warm latitudes. Her journey to Antarctica made her realize the importance of maintaining the pristineness of natural environments. By saying, ' what a difference a day makes ' she wants to convey the newfound respect that she has for the environment. Visiting Antarctica has changed her perspective on the need for preserving natural environments. She hopes that young persons like her develop respect for the environment. Only then can we save the planet from global warming.
