A man weighs 600N on the surface of the earth. What would be his mass and weight on the surface of the moon ? (take of gearth= 10m/s2)

 weight on earth= m*g

so, m= w/g

600/10= 60kg

since mass is constant throughout universe, it will be 60 kg on moon also.

weight on moon = 1/6 of the weight on earth

so, 600* 1/6 = 100 N on moon.

m = 60kg   since mass is constant throughout the universe mass on moon = 60kg

w on earth=600n

w on moon= 1/6 x weight on earth

                    =1/6 x 600N=100N
