A mango tree grows on a land. It gets most of the nutrients from the soil. But the soil lacks one important nutrient. Also the area is full of insects. Will the mango tree trap the insects to satisfy its need [like pitcher plant] ? Explain your answer.
Dear Student,
Pitcher plant has an adaptation and they are found mainly in areas where soil lacks nitrogen where as mango trees do not grow in areas that lack certain nutrients. If the soil lacks in some nutrient the plant will not grow there because it does not carry any such special feature or adaptation.
