A pendulum produce 20 oscillation in 5 second.Calculate its time period.

First calculate the frequency i.e the no of oscillations for 1 sec from the data we know that the frequence is 4 hertz (i.e for 1 sec = 20/5).Now we know time period T= 1/f where f is the frequency therefore Time period (T) = 1/4 = 0.25 sec.

  • 5

GIVEN :- Numbur of oscillations = 20

Time taken = 5 seconds

TO CALCULATE:- Time period

SOLUTION:- Time period = Time taken to oscillate / Number of oscillations

= 5/20 (seconds)

= 1/4 (seconds)

= 0.25 seconds

Hence, the pendulum requires 0.25 seconds to complete one oscillation.

  • 7

time period= time taken to oscillate/no.of oscillations.

=5/20

=1/4

=0.25 seconds the pendulum requires to complete one oscillation.
