Hi, The theif had 15 minutes window to escape so in 15 minutes he will cover a distance = speed of thief ×time = 12 km/hour×1560hour= 3 km So distance between theif and police when police starts chasing = 3 km so now time when polics will catch theif= distancerelative speed= 315-12 Since running in same direction so relative speed will gets subtracted= 33= 1 hourand in 1 hour distance travelled by police = 15×1= 15 km and distance covered by theof = 12×1= 12 km
