(A)Reason- Alluvial soil is the most widely spread and important soil.
(B)Assertion- Mostly these soils contain adequate proportion of potash, phosphoric acid and lime.

(a)A is true B is false
(b)A is false B is true
(c)Both A and B is true
(d)Both A and B is false

Dear Student,
The right answer for your question is option(c). The alluvial soil is the most widely spread and important soil. It covers about 40% of total land. Alluvial soil is divided in following two parts according to its age:-
i) Old Alluvium or Bhangar Soil
ii) New Alluvium or Khaddar Soil.
Alluvial soil contain adequate proportion of potash, phosphoric acid and lime. It is ideal for the production of sugarcane, paddy, wheat and other cereal and pulse crops.
But it doesn't explain the reason of the widespread of the alluvial soil.
Regards.

Answer -  (c) Both A and B are true.
             -  Because Alluvial soil is the most widely spread and important soil, it also contains adequate proportion of potash, phosphoric acid and lime but that doesn't explain why                    it is the most widely spread soil. Thus (c) is correct.
